Overview

Applies to: This knowledge base article is for faculty, staff, or even students who would like to connect wirelessly to a projector or display in various classrooms, meeting, and event spaces. 

Prerequisites

No additional software should be needed if connecting with a Windows-based device. To connect with an Apple device, you will need AirPlay.

Other supported screen casting apps include: Samsung Smart View, Lenovo Wireless Display, Oppo Smart Screen, and Vivo Smart Screen.

Apple Airplay Connection Steps

  • Press the “Source Search” button on the white Epson projector remote until you get to a “Wireless Connection” screen.

  • Make sure that your device is compatible with AirPlay. Connect to JJCGuest in your WiFi settings. 

  • On your device, click on the Control Center icon located in the top right corner of your screen. Select “Screen Mirroring” then "AirPlay". Select the desired display name.

    • There should be a labelled option for the room you are connecting in. For example: “WD-1009”. The wireless device should match to the room you are in.

  • When connecting, you should see a small blue symbol in the bottom right.
    • Once connected, please check your display settings to ensure a 1080p resolution for best results.
