Edge - Clear Browsing Data & Switch Profiles/Accounts

This article will show you how to delete your browsing history and how to switch Microsoft accounts in Edge.

Follow these instructions if you need to clear your browsing history on Edge or need to switch account/profile on Edge.
Step 1: Launch Microsoft Edge and click on on the settings button in the top right hand corner.
- This is the button with the three horizontal dots.
Step 2: Select 'Delete Browsing History' which is about half way down the menu list. This will prompt the 'Delete browsing history' window to open.
Step 3: Select the time range that you would like to delete from. You can also select and deselect what data you would like deleted.
Step 4: Click 'Clear now' to delete the selected data.
Switching Account/Profile on Edge
Step 1: Launch Microsoft Edge and click on the profile icon in the top right corner.
- This is the circle with either users initials or their profile picture.
Step 2: The Manage Account drop down menu will appear with the current profile as well as other available profiles.
Step 3: Select the profile that you would like active. This will prompt a new Edge window to open with the selected profile.
Information:
Use profile names and colors to easily distinguish between accounts.
Press CTRL + H. If the history is empty, it means the deletion was successful.
The profile picture will be different in the newly opened Edge window.
