This guide provides step‑by‑step instructions for first‑time Joliet Junior College (JJC) students to set up their accounts with password and Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA).

This article is only for first‑time JJC students.

If you are unsure, contact JJC’s IT onsite support for clarification.

Steps for First-Time Setup

Step 1: Find Your Username or Student ID Number

Step 2: Reset Your Password

  • Perform a Self‑Service Password Reset (SSPR) using the personal email address you entered in your Workday application.

Step 3: Complete MFA Setup

  1. Register your phone number for MFA.

  2. Register your Microsoft Authenticator App for MFA.

Step 4: Log into the Student Portal (MyJJC)

Once your password has been reset and MFA is set up, you are ready to access JJC systems.

On Desktop or Laptop:

  1. Visit jjc.edu.
  2. Click MyJJC.

On Mobile or Tablet:

  1. Visit jjc.edu.
  2. Tap the purple box with four white horizontal lines.
  3. Tap MyJJC.
